new pve build for me.
Hi, I've had my derv for not too long. I've been using my own made-up build that has worked in beating nf, which isnt that hard. Before I use him in HM or other harder PvE, I was thinking I should get a new build. If you have one that works for general PvE'ing, please leave it. I have most derv elites and can get any others. (if you could, refrain from a Ebon Dust build).
TY

there are many builds you can use some examples:
avatar of lyssa works great
ebon dust aura is usefull with volley
Vow of Strength can also be good

just out of sheer morbid curiosity, why would you be using volley on a dervish?

Lyssa's good too, but with the fast-activation of skills in HM PvE, Lyssa becomes less attractive and the sturdiness + silly damage/DW spam of Mel wins through.

Because it's easier to peg people with Blind as a ranged attacker, than having to run around blinding melee with a scythe. Essentially, guys with ranged weapons are more effective blindbots that guys with melee weapons. I prefer spear myself because spear damage owns the crap outta bow damage, but Volley's AoE can be handy in PvE.

Well Wounding Strike is good (especially with the *buff*) in NM when your bored and have 3 MM heroes.

Probably won't be re-nerfed either since it's still not terribly popular in PvP.

Having played the avatars for a while, I've drifted towards the VoS D/R build. It has comparable dps to lyssa, but it is more condusive to c-spacing while I kick all the contestant's butts on Jeapordy.

I think the question was more "why would you run it on a D/R instead of an R/D?"

D/R gets more energy and longer blind.
